The recommended way to accomplish what you want to do is to use the ISTuner for Lotus Notes to add your modified bookmark template to a transform. The added file will be copied over the existing one from DATA1.CAB. We don't really don't recommend you modify our cab files.
To add a file to a transform using ISTuner, first follow the help instructions on how to install Tuner, load the .ITW file and load the .MSI file you want to transform.
- Navigate to the "Target System Configuration" item in the Tuner tree (item #3)
- Select the "Files" leaf item.
- In the "Destination computer's folders" pane (the lower left one) expand the ProgramFilesFolder folder until you get to the "Data" level.
- Click on VDIR_SHARED folder, note the list of templates in the right hand pane.
- Use the "Source computer's directory tree" to navigate to the template you want to add. Drag it to the VDIR_SHARED folder and drop it in (you may have to drag it to the right had pane).
- You will be prompted to replace the existing file. Click yes.
- Follow the instrustions in the help to save your transform.
Any files you add to the transform will be compressed and copied to the output location where you specified to save the resulting install, so you will need to copy them along with the .MST file (and setup.exe if you chose to make a new one).
